I'm afraid...is life really supposed to be like this?

I'm bored, so I'm gonna blog.

I saw Gimli (John Rhys-Davies).  I got his autograph.  It's sitting right here.  My first celebrity autograph.  If I don't sound terribly excited, its because its just a piece of paper with writing on it...cool, but not jump-up-and-down-and-scream cool.

Yesterday Caitlin had some friends here from UW, so we ended up going to Fremont for dinner with a bunch of people.  We ate Thai food and it was goooood.  Plus Cold Stone, which--well, what can I say?--could never NOT be good.

I'm kind of upset and confused about certain things, which I don't really feel like going into.  What's the point of writing at all if I'm not gonna explain?  Not sure.  But I wrote it, so there you go.

Today I went to church with Mandy at Bethany Community.  It was so great!  It is the first church that I've been to here that I've felt truly comfortable in.  I got to talk with Mandy a lot and I met a bunch of people, plus I saw some others who I know.  I'm definitely going back.

On the shuttle on the way back from church, this excentric older man rode with us and he was extremely friendly.  He asked everyone on the shuttle (it was really a small shuttle bus, like the kind they use at airports) where they were from and what their names were.  He asked the girl in front of me (Mary) what she was studying and she said "Education and Spanish" and then he started speaking in Spanish.  The funny part was, I actually understood most of what he was saying!  Like how he lived in Mexico for a while and his brother still lived there and stuff.  Anyway, it was a really cool experience, 'cause he was a neat guy.

So church was good and I think I'm gonna use the rest of the day to take care of some housekeeping stuff like cleaning and balancing my checkbook and writing down some scheduling stuff on my calendar.  And homework...oh yeah...might want to at least start THINKING about that today...

AHHHHHHHH!

Just thought I'd share my frustration.

I was thinking about what I wrote last time, and I guess its pretty selfish: "You're hurting.  Well stop because you're depressing me."   Well, I didn't mean it that way.

For my friends who are hurting or confused: God loves you more than you can ever know.  And I love you too!  I wish that the pain would just go away, but that's not up to me.  I'll be praying for you.

I was reading in The Purpose Driven Life last night and it said that God's main purpose for us is character development and that is sometimes painful, but we can't expect pain to go away until heaven.  I guess I can take some comfort in that fact when difficult things happen.  It means that God is working....
